Grant Decisions August 3, 2010

The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation approved the following grants on August 3, 2010 (all grants are to Chicago-area organizations unless noted otherwise):

For Arts:
-Access Living: $5,000 to support the The GIMP Dance performance, as part of the Chicago Humanities Festival

-Chicago Artists' Coalition:  $7,500 for sponsorship of the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation Award for Representational Art at the Art Loop Open;

-Chicago Humanities Festival:  $10,000 to support an architecture & design-related session in the 2010 Chicago Humanities Festival.

For the Built Environment:

-Chicago Architecture Foundation:  $6,000 for Patron of the Year Awards for the client who has commissioned the best all-around designs in commercial, institutional and governmental buildings.

For Economic Opportunity for the Working Poor:

-Inspiration Corporation:  $15,000 for the Working Poor Direct Service Fund.

For Government Accountability/Journalism:

-Chicago Community Trust:  $15,000 for Network Analysis of the Chicago News Ecosystem," research to assess the state of Chicago journalism.
