The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation’s focus and strategies are a reflection of the values, interests and experiences of our board. They believe that a great city fully realizes the potential of its citizens, and that a community must invest in each person’s opportunity to succeed in order for all of us to succeed.

To further economic opportunity for the working poor, we support system wide change to improve opportunities for the working poor. Funding public policy and advocacy helps the most people and has the potential to increase the impact of a single grant. By raising the visibility of the issues facing the working poor and addressing often unresponsive public policies, we hope to change the outcomes for future generations.
