How can my organization apply for funding?
The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation does not accept unsolicited proposals. We welcome letters of inquiry and phone calls if after reading our grantmaking guidelines you believe your organization might be eligible for support.
What does The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation not fund?
We tend not to fund large organizations with multi-million dollar budgets, and the great majority of our grants go to organizations residing in, and working in, the Chicago metropolitan area. We do not fund: arts education or arts outreach; individual restoration projects; community theater and community dance; health care; with rare exceptions public, private or parochial education, nor do we provide scholarships or tuition assistance.
